Do you successfully balance the role of mom and entrepreneur?
Apply to be the next Ms. Mompreneur! The Mompreneur competition is an
online national platform that honors mothers who mean business.
Criteria
The Mompreneur award honors female business owners between the ages of 21-55, who have a child 18 years or younger and live in the United States or U.S. territories, who are actively balancing the role of mom and entrepreneur. She can be a stay-at-home-mom who runs a business or a mom who manages her own business outside of the home.
Recipients can apply for this recognition or be nominated by a family member, friend, or business associate
Recipients must be between the ages of 21-55 years old
Recipient must have at least one child 18 years old or younger
Recipient can be single, married, divorced, or widowed.
Recipients can apply for this recognition or be nominated by a family member, friend, or business associate.
Recipients must have made significant, unique and lasting contributions in the community and acted as role models for other women.
Judging Criteria
Online Application – 50%
Each candidate submits an online application to display why she should be the next Ms. Mompreneur. Scoring is based on each candidate’s answers to questions pertaining to the importance of community, entrepreneurship, motherhood, and how they will give back to the community as the new Ms.Mompreneur. Scoring is assessed specifically on the quality of application, 3 recommendation letters, resume, community involvement, and why she believes she should be the next Ms. Mompreneur.
Interview – 50%
Each candidate participates in a 5-7 minute virtual interview with our esteemed judges. The judges ask a series of questions to learn more about the candidate’s professional background, successes, talents, goals and ambitions. Scoring is assessed specifically on her charm, self-confidence, ability to communicate effectively and the substance of her answers.
What are the requirements of the Ms. Mompreneur queen?
The Mompreneur queen becomes the voice and image of entrepreneurial moms across America for a term of one year. They will be responsible for making a minimum of 12 appearances a year, to include, workshops, seminars, charitable events, radio and television interviews, and speaking to audiences about their platform. Candidate recruitment (minimum of 5 recruits) is also a contract requirement, to ensure queen goals are met.
